OUR CLASSROOM
Our school meets in the newly renovated basement of First United Presbyterian Church in Inman square. This space includes a large open-plan classroom with various work areas for creative play and learning.
There is also a dedicated children’s bathroom and a fully functional kitchen for preparation of snacks. In the warmer months we also use the garden for outdoor play which is equipped with a climbing structure and is securely fenced in.
Little Folks Fellowship is fully licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC; 1250 Hancock Street Suite 605N, Quincy, MA 02169; 617-472-2881) and operates under their child care regulations. We are licensed to accept 20 pre-school-aged children daily. Students must be at least 2 years 9 months at the time of admission.
OUR TEACHERS
Our childcare director, Teresa, has her B.A. in Inner Cultural Studies and a Minor in Bible from Biola University. She also earned a M.A. in Education from Biola and received her California teaching credential. She has worked with a variety of ages, but enjoys the preschool years the best. Before becoming the director she worked for three years as a teacher at LFF, where she fell in love with a preschool that supports the innocence of children and lets them learn through play and develop at their own pace. She lives in Boston with her husband and three children and enjoys the outdoors but currently spends most of her free time taking her children to their extracurricular activities.
All our teachers are licensed by the EEC and have undergone a full background check by the EEC. All teachers are trained annually in first aid and CPR. In addition our teachers have completed various courses in Early Childhood Education including “Handwriting without tears” and "Godly Play".
TUITION
Tuition for the 2020-2021 school year is $440 per month for the 9:00-12:00 regular session or $620 per month for the 9:00-2:00 extended day session. Little Folks is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 10 months of the year. Sibling discounts and limited financial aid are available.
